Services

The Vascular & Interventional Pavilion (VIP) in Tampa, Lakeland, and Largo, Florida is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of vascular disease. Vascular disease includes aneurysms, peripheral artery disease, stroke, renal failure, venous disease, and more. While they all affect the body in different ways, they are all linked by a common set of risk factors, including obesity, physical inactivity, smoking, and high blood pressure.

As vascular surgeons, our expertise allows us to provide personalized treatment for all types of vascular conditions. We organize our capabilities into these five Centers of Excellence, which represent our core strengths as specialists in vascular medicine:

  1. Varicose and Spider Vein Treatment
  2. Vascular Surgery
  3. Dialysis Access
  4. Limb Salvage (RESTORATION Procedure)
  5. Stroke Center

In addition to our vascular imaging laboratory, we offer a unique diagnostic tool for patients experiencing signs of PAD, or peripheral artery disease.

Hip pain and leg pain are common symptoms of PAD, but if it is also accompanied by numbness, cold legs, or weakness, you should see a vascular specialist at VIP right away.

If left untreated, PAD can lead to tissue damage, nerve damage, and in severe cases, amputation. Check your symptoms now.

The Vascular & Interventional Pavilion also performs venous/access procedures for patients of referring physicians. Learn more about venous access procedures and refer a patient quickly and easily with our online form.

Vascular Imaging Laboratory

The Vascular & Interventional Pavilion would not be complete without a fully-equipped onsite vascular laboratory. Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, our vascular lab allows us to conduct critical vascular imaging exams right in our office, which enables our vascular surgeons to make treatment recommendations with no delay or patient inconvenience.

The VIP vascular lab is one of a few in the country that offers diagnosis CCSVI (Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency) in multiple sclerosis patients – a reflux of blood in the veins from the brain and spine (CCSVI is currently under research). We also offer screening of thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) and popliteal artery entrapment syndrome (PAES).

Non-invasive tests allow patients to be examined using Doppler-ultrasound (duplex), a diagnostic exam that is free of the risks and discomforts of injections or maneuvers. Patient examinations provide vascular physicians with quantitative information regarding the location and functional significance of many vascular conditions, and the tests aid in diagnosing almost all known or suspected vascular disorders.
